Queen's Beach
The Riviera of Bar is quite spacious, stretching from Cape Stolac and Cove Čanj across Spič and Sutomore, Šušanj, Bay of Bar and Veliki Pijesak to Buša and Cove of the Petrovics.
The indented coastline and many natural springs have made numerous smaller and larger beaches from Čanj to Utjeha, which are mostly covered with sand and more than 9000 m long.
If you are coming to Bar by car, from the direction of Petrovac, you will stop in Čanj where you can see the Pearl's Shore Beach, which is 1100 m long and with a a surface of 55000 m², covered with sand of varied colors. You can take a boat from Čanj to
Kraljičina Plaža (Queen's Beach) which is 350 m long and accessible only from the sea. It is a jewel of the Montenegrin Riviera, fenced with a natural hill of high sediment cliffs. Its unusual beauty and very clean water have made it a favorite place of the Montenegrin Queen Milena (1847 – 1923) during her visits to the summer residence of her husband King Nikola in Bar.
By water, Queen's Beach is 33 km far from Velika Plaža and 25 km from the Bay of Valdanos. It is 20 km far from Budva, 35 km from the Podgorica Airport and 50 km from the Tivat Airport.
The beach itself and the surrounding cliffs are state-owned (Coastal Zone Company) while the development site is on municipal land – Municipalities of Bar and Budva.
